Melissa and Matt are the kindest, most genuine couple. I had a blast on their engagement shoot. Not just because they rock it in front of the camera, but they are an incredibly fun couple to hang with. Plus, Melissa can navigate any terrain in heels better than I can in regular shoes. I am looking forward to so much more photography on your wedding day and beyond!

Leslie + Adam: Anti-Shoot

June 29th, 2009 | Anti-Shoot

Leslie and Adam’s anti-session has been in the works for a year and a half. They celebrated their wedding on New Year’s Eve. It was a spectacular event – click here to see images from Leslie and Adam’s wedding day. The weather on their wedding day was gorgeous. However, single digits above zero Fahrenheit is only so warm. When Leslie told me they wanted to do an anti-bridal session once warmer weather arrived, I was super excited.

Thank you so much for your sense of adventure! Seriously, the mosquitoes I edited out of some of the images were the size of small birds and you rocked it out.

I work with the coolest couples!

Sarah + Kent: Engaged

June 19th, 2009 | Engagement

I have been photographing lots of sessions on the shores of Duluth this spring. In fact, over half the sessions on my blog so far for this wedding season were created in Duluth. Sarah and Kent are planning a fall wedding in Brainerd. Seeing they were engaged in Duluth, it was the perfect location for their engagement session. The lake and clouds created the most beautiful, rich light for their entire shoot.

Sarah, thank you so much for your all-terrain attitude in heels! You guys are the best. I am looking forward to your wedding in October!
